You don’t want to miss this tour of Kawasaki Motors Mfg. Corp., USA in Lincoln on Thursday, September 18th.
The Kawasaki Lincoln plant opened in 1974 manufacturing motorcycles and has grown into a multi-company organization; housing Kawasaki Consumer Products, Kawasaki Rail Car Lincoln, Inc. and Kawasaki Railcar’s Aerospace Division. The facility was the first foreign motorcycle manufacturer in the United States. Since then, Kawasaki has increased its product line to include ATV’s, utility vehicles, and recreational utility vehicles. In 2001, Kawasaki opened its Rail Car factory. This facility manufactures railcars for transit systems in metropolitan areas on the east coast. In 2017, the Aerospace factory was added to manufacture cargo doors for Boeing 777x aircraft. The facility has grown to over 2.3 million square feet located on 332 acres in Northwest Lincoln. The Kawasaki Lincoln campus has over 2000 full time employees as well as approximately 700 contract employees, making Kawasaki one of the largest employers in Lincoln.
We at MITA are thrilled to tour Kawasaki and would like to take a moment to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Jeff Kimble at Kawasaki for organizing this fantastic tour for MITA and our valued members, as well as for all those who are eager to participate. This opportunity showcases the collaboration of our trade community.
