Annual Book Drive to the Open Door Mission

Since 2001, MITA has donated over 300,000 new books to the Open Door Mission's Educational Programs for the homeless and needy. This program continues to thrive in conjunction with the AIT Worldwide Logistics Book Program. The donation consists of toddler and children’s books, along with thousands of puzzle and comic books.

MITA is grateful to its members for their faithful and compassionate generosity throughout the years for giving to our neediest neighbors to promote literacy and to help break the cycle of homelessness and poverty.

Nebraska Logistics Scholarship Golf Fundraiser

MITA has sponsored and participated in the Nebraska Logistics Council annual golf fundraiser for over 10 years, adding to its success. This event helps to raise scholarship money for students seeking careers in Supply Chain and Logistics.

Due to this fundraiser, the Nebraska Logistics Council has gone from giving one $500.00 scholarship to three $1,500 per year. Plus, they have created an Endowed Scholarship at MCC, which will continue on, in perpetuity.

Project
Harmony

MITA members have donated over several years to Project Harmony. Project Harmony is a local organization that acts as the lead collaborator with law enforcement, social services and medical professionals in order to support children who are the victims of abuse and their non-offending family members. This is an important mission to support children in our community!
