Omaha attorney Grant Leach has over 15 years’ experience practicing in international trade and U.S. export compliance, with experience working as both in-house legal counsel and as a partner at a national law firm. His presentation will provide a summary of U.S. companies’ compliance obligations under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (“ITAR”), U.S. Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”), trade sanctions administered by the U.S. Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (“OFAC”) and the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (“FCPA”). He will also discuss recent changes in export compliance requirements involving China and Russia and potential future changes which could occur after the 2024 election.
